Japan is a very special country for me it was the first place where I lived alone where I got my first job and where I made many important friendship and work ties. Japanese mascots are found everywhere in police offices on supermarket products on buses... everything. Japanese culture highly values the kawaii culture of beautiful tender and cute things I really believe that beautiful things should not be limited to children by age we can all be children all our lives. Pamela Sustaita conquering Japan with her little sheep Piece presented in his individual exhibition in Los Angeles in One of the most important platforms for your work is Nylon.
How was the rapprochement of a Mexican artist with that Japanese medium I have been working with Nylon Japan since around. me to illustrate a section in their photo background removing magazine after that I formally started working with the Japanese edition illustrated a monthly column and made different special collaborations. Working with them is very fun and very special I learned many things. It was my first formal job and the truth is that when I received my first payment as an illustrator in yen it was very exciting.

What was the hallmark for a medium like Nylon and in its Japanese edition to invite you to collaborate I really do not know. I think they just liked what she did and thought it was a good addition to her vision. What did you enjoy the most about that job and what was the most difficult What I enjoyed the most was working with a company that has a very different culture but with a very similar vision to mine. I like the way the Japanese see the world I like to learn and travel. There really hasnt been anything complicated because Im used to working with clients from all over the world.
