With a sharp focus on experiential learning, project-based learning, KL University’s Skill Development Division hosted the third slot of Skill Palaver between September 13th and 14th, 2025, and it was nothing short of a tech-powered adrenaline rush.

Skill Palaver isn’t just a hackathon. It’s a three-stage experience designed to make students industry-ready.
Learnathon → Online Review → Hackathon
August and early September saw students go through intensive Learnathons, where they grasped the fundamentals of problem statements spanning GenAI, cybersecurity, NLP, mobility, and sustainability.
By the time the final hackathon weekend rolled around at the university’s Vijayawada campus, students were prepped, fired up, and ready to transform ideas into prototypes.
Innovation under pressure
The 48-hour sprint brought together thousands of pre-final year B.Tech students from various streams. Working in diverse teams, they tackled real-world challenges curated by industry professionals, from optimizing mobility solutions to deploying AI for social good.
Mentors from top-tier companies like LTIMindtree, Mozilla India, Carelon Global Solutions, E42 Light IT, Persistent Systems, Synopsys, and others were on the ground, guiding students with bottleneck analysis, product thinking, and technical feedback.
Beyond the code, Skill Palaver also served as a crash course in communication, leadership, and creative problem-solving. Overnight coding marathons tested endurance, while morning presentations demanded sharp articulation and data-backed pitching.
With a lineup of 10 flagship themes, hands-on mentorship, and an environment that celebrates risk-taking, Skill Palaver sets a new benchmark in how universities can prepare students not just for their first job, but for a career of lifelong innovation.
