Hello, I took off from the United Airlines ALB Terminal recently for a business trip, and let me tell you—it's an unexpectedly nice terminal. I've taken off from and landed in much larger airports, but there's something charming about Albany. I got to the airport approximately 90 minutes prior to my flight, and the United check-in was speedy and efficient. Security was under 10 minutes, and the personnel were courteous—always so at other facilities. There's a comfortable atmosphere at the terminal. It didn't feel busy or rushed, which allowed me to keep my wits and remain calm in advance of the flight. I enjoyed having access to outlets near the gate for plugging in my laptop and phone. In addition, there's a reasonable little café where I purchased a breakfast sandwich. United boarded on schedule, and I was able to accomplish work both at the gate and onboard. In all honesty, I wouldn't complain about more work trips out of Albany if it meant this type of low-stress travel. The United Airlines terminal may be small, but it's efficient and easy to get around—two things that are important on business trips.
