In this way, they became part of a pantheon of heroes of social revolt who embodied the voice of Plaza Dignidad. Both referents were elected and their presence managed to give legitimacy to the Convention, as it materialized the continuity between the outbreak and the constitutional process.
The second group of the People's List could be classified as a world of the left that saw in the social explosion the expected anticipation of the collapse of the Special Database neoliberal model. They were groups that had participated in previous electoral bets, without result, and that had been in the orbit of the PC and other leftist parties. They had the legitimacy of not being parties, despite having experience in electoral disputes. An example was the participation of a branch of the Trotskyist movement, which even managed to elect a constituent.

Finally, of the 145 candidates presented by the People's List, 68 belonged to social movements , mostly outside of Santiago (in the capital the first two groups had pre-eminence).
